Improper handling of battery disposal has devastating effects on people and the environment. We at Electro Recycling Ghana Ltd promote the development towards sustainable recycling with our battery management to permanently reduce harmful impacts.
How does it work?
- Awareness raising and education: To raise awareness among the population in Ghana, we are working with the regulatory authorities to develop campaigns and training concepts to educate the public about the risks of spent batteries.
- Infrastructure development: Another challenge is to support the development of a suitable infrastructure for the collection, transport and disposal of spent batteries.
- Improve regulation: To improve regulation for battery disposal in Ghana, we are keeping up with current regulations and sharing our experience and insights with the relevant authorities. This will allow new structures and measures to be developed to ensure safer and more effective disposal of batteries.
